Day 6: Ontario Place

Students spent their afternoon out in the sun this past Saturday.  Accompanied by TDSB staff, they travelled by TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) to the Ontario Place. Students experienced a different way of travel as they rode the subway, some for the first time. Once they reached Union Station, students took the street car over to the Ontario Place, where they admired the downtown core of the city of Toronto as they drove by.

Once they reached the Ontario Place, students hurried over to the Cinesphere where they watched the "Bugs!" IMAX film. After the movie, everyone was hungry and most students bought lunches and sat under the shade while they enjoyed their pizza, subs, chicken wraps, and poutines.

After lunch, they spent some time walking around the park and taking many pictures while they admired the scenery by Toronto's waterfront. The junior class got the chance to visit the Eco-Learning Center where they saw turtles and life size forest animals. Before leaving the park, all students looked through the gift shop for some treats and souvenirs to bring back home.

Although students were quite tired from the long week, they enjoyed being out in the sun and looking at the beautiful view of Toronto's waterfront.
