Day 5: In the Classroom

Students returned to the classroom on Friday to end off the first week of class activities. Students started their morning by writing in their journals. The junior class talked about what they saw in the Ontario Science Center, went over the words to O Canada, and practice the poem which they will be presenting at the final presentation next week.  Both the junior and the senior class spent some time in the computer lab finishing up their PowerPoint presentations, some even began to present to the rest of the class.

After lunchtime, the junior class continued to work on their scrapbooks and journals.  They also spent some time brainstorming ideas for their ABC train, which when finished, will have one picture for every letter of the alphabet that demonstrates something they saw or did in Toronto.  In the class next door, the senior class completed some grammar exercises. Both classes were excited to spend the rest of the afternoon outdoors learning how to sing "O Canada" as well as a few other popular camp songs. The senior class took a walk to the park near the school where they played and soaked up the sun till they had to leave.

All the students seemed to enjoy learning both inside and outside of the classroom.
